Ramps are used for vehicles in a number of different circumstances, and GUIL can provide the ramp that you\u2019re looking for, providing it is for temporary use only.\u00a0 Not only are GUIL\u2019s stage platforms some of the strongest available, we are also able to manufacture the necessary length, width and inclination needed by every individual customer, even producing special shapes when required.\u00a0 Anybody who needs a ramp for a vehicle has the perfect product in GUIL\u2019s TM440 stage platforms.<\/p>\n
Rally stages, for example, often start from a starting booth made with a raised platform, an up-ramp and a down-ramp.\u00a0 Each car goes up the first ramp to the platform, where the start is counted down and the car roars off down the second ramp for the day\u2019s race stage.\u00a0 As well as the ramps and the platform for the cars, an area of the platform and access stairs are built for the race officials who will sign the drivers in and give each car the starting signal.<\/p>\n
Platforms can also be used for publicity in shopping centres, events, etc, where cars are driven up to their show position on a platform and the ramp is removed, to be used again later to allow the car to drive down off the platform at the end of the promotion period.<\/p>\n
Many cars can weigh a ton or more (before even starting to think about lorries), but that weight is concentrated on the four wheels, which means you need the strongest platforms on the market.\u00a0 You need GUIL.<\/p>\n

[vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]<\/p>\nPLYWOOD BOARDS:<\/strong><\/span> GUIL\u2019s TM440 stage platforms use 21mm-thick phenolic beech plywood board with a maximum weight capacity of 1200 kg\/m2<\/sup>, far more than the majority of platforms on the market.\u00a0 The TM440 is also available with six legs (Ref. TM440XL\/2×1), or even eight (Ref. TM440XXL\/2×1), instead of four, increasing the capacity to 1400 kg\/m2<\/sup> and 1600 kg\/m2<\/sup> respectively.\u00a0 Their phenolic film covering, and sealed edges make them suitable for indoor or outdoor use, as well as giving them excellent fire-resistant properties, and the rough surface of the wiremesh finish provides excellent grip for footwear or wheels.<\/p>\n
FRAMES & LEGS:<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>The frames of the platforms are made of reinforced aluminium alloy EN AW 6063 80-T6, with numerous internal veins for maximum strength.\u00a0 It also has the continuous rail, a slot running along every element of the frame where accessories such as handrails or access stairs are attached.<\/p>\n
The telescopic legs are also made of the same aluminium alloy and have internal veins for maximum strength.\u00a0 The extension system, with a screw knob for millimetric height adjustment of up to 50mm, means that every leg can be individually fitted to a perfect height to make a supremely stable and solid ramp.<\/p>\n
CONNECTORS:<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>The TMU-01 deck-to-deck connector and the TMU-02 deck-to-deck clamp (1 of each free with every TM440 platform) and the TMU-04 leg-to-leg clamp (1 free with every 4 telescopic legs of 70-120cm or more) guarantee that the platforms are all joined together to make a stable, cohesive unit that ensure the safety of any vehicle that uses it.\u00a0 We recommend buying extra TMU-01 and TMU-02 connectors and using two of each one on every side connecting with another platform.<\/p>\n
RAMP STARTER KITS:\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>The ramp starter kits (Ref. RMP-01 and RMP-03) include an aluminium starter plate (40cm for the RMP-01 and 100cm for the RMP-03) with connectors, fixed-length legs for the bottom platform of the ramp, and two angle-adjustable telescopic legs for the top platform.<\/p>\n

[vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]<\/p>\nThe 21mm-thick board of the TM440 board and the telescopic legs make GUIL ramps very strong, and they can take the weight of a car with no need for any reinforcing bars under the board.\u00a0 The option of adding up to four additional legs to each frame increases the maximum weight capacity by as much as 33%, to a maximum of 3200 kg per platform, allowing heavy vehicles to use the ramp, and not just quads or cars.<\/p>\n
There is even the option of adding a crossbar (Ref. RF\/5) to fit an additional leg in the centre of the platform for extra resistance in specific circumstances.\u00a0 GUIL\u2019s 21mm-thick boards usually mean that there is no demand for crossbars or centrally-positioned legs, but they\u2019re available in case they\u2019re needed.<\/p>\n

[vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner css=”.vc_custom_1746008241682{padding-bottom: 30px !important;}”][vc_column_text]<\/p>\nWith GUIL\u2019s ramps, you can build the ramp you need for every event.\u00a0 The length, width and inclination<\/strong> can be configured as necessary in each case, with the length and inclination being interdependent, of course.\u00a0 We recommend an inclination of approximately one unit vertical to ten units horizontal: for a 1-metre-high platform, each ramp should be 10 metres long, though with vehicles it\u2019s also possible to make them a little steeper, of course.\u00a0 The width will depend on the vehicles that will be using the ramp and will usually be either 3 or 4 metres.<\/p>\n
If you require a ramp with changes of direction, and you have the space to build it, GUIL can provide you with platforms to make landings where the vehicles can turn 90\u00b0 or even 180\u00b0.\u00a0 For example, a ramp up to a stage could be built to travel along one side of the stage and turn to move along the next side on its way up.<\/p>\n
