A concert in tribute to a pioneering folk group from Menorca called Traginada, in the breathtaking setting of a former quarry on the island called Pedreres de S’Hostal. Edusound used our ULK towers to fly the speaker system for the concert, as well as elements of the magnificent lighting, which bathed the walls in vivid colours.
The sheer walls of this former sandstone quarry, which still show the marks of the extraction of the stone, combine with the expanse of open, level ground and a stone stage platform in the corner, to make one of the most dramatic concert venues imaginable. As well as the quarry walls and some stone constructions and decorations, the complex contains a number of gardens, and comprises a splendid place to lose yourself for a while and get away from the bustle of everyday life.
@Edusound used ULK towers for two purposes at once, for both audio and lighting. On the side of each tower facing the audience, they flew the line array to transmit the sound of the concert to the concert-goers, while on separate attachments, and facing the stone platform and the walls of the quarry, they fitted lights to illuminate the stage, while ground-based lights lit up the walls in a variety of changing colours to provide a fitting backdrop for an unforgettable evening of music.
