Our transparent platforms featured prominently in the latest edition of the Tenerife Volcanic Fashion Show, showcasing once again their versatility and their enormous visual potential.
Thanks to these platforms with their methacrylate surface, the catwalks boasted an elegant, distinctive finish, perfectly in tune with this international show.
The event took place in Lago Martiánez, an enchanted beauty spot of saltwater lakes on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean in Puerto de la Cruz on the island of Tenerife; a place where the sea, nature, art and architecture go hand in hand.
The Spanish company GUIL, with almost 40 years of experience in the field, is a pioneer in the design and manufacture of products for the entertainment and events industry. GUIL’s platforms are a key product for professionals in this sector, something which was made clear during the latest fashion week in the Canary Islands, with the presentation of collections by firms such as Tempus, by Cristo Velázquez, Vigarok, Leo Martínez, Amarca, Lucas Balboa, Diazar y Néstor Rodríguez.
The transparent platforms can be backlit, or even used as “showcases” to display products under the feet of visitors in an exhibition or fair stand. Similarly, as in the case of Tenerife, the platforms can be used as a “floating” catwalk, highlighting the water and thus obtaining an outstanding visual effect.
Tenerife Volcanic Fashion’s decision to change their habitual format and move the runways from the exhibition grounds to an outdoor setting comes in response to the idea that “the show must go on”, seeking new strategies based on spectacular surroundings and the synergies between nature, fashion, tourism and quality products like GUIL platforms, which blend perfectly with the backdrops chosen.
