Pergolas can be built as separate items, for example in a garden or as an outdoor part of a restaurant, or they can be attached to the wall of a house or other building.  The second option requires a lifter to lift and hold the beam while you fasten it to the wall, and that lifter must be able to take the beam right up next to the wall.

The ELC-725 lifter from GUIL does everything that you need a lifter to do when you’re fastening the beam for a pergola to a wall.  It can lift loads of up to 125 kg all the way up to 3.94 metres, so the weight of the beam and the height are no problem at all.  The installers in this project use two lifters, which allows the option to lift beams up to 250 kg directly to the wall for fastening.
