A covered back-garden terrace for a house in Tunbridge Wells in Kent, UK, built using GUIL’s ELC-700 lifters by our customers Sun Rooms UK.

The elegant black structure matches and extends the ground-floor façade around three sides of the house, complementing the spacious garden, and allowing the owners of the house to enjoy it in the shade or in the sun, as they please, whenever the weather permits.

GUIL’s lifters can lift and keep in place awnings, beams, and other items that need to be fixed in position at a certain height and, like many users, Sun Rooms UK use them to make their work quicker, safer and easier. 

Several of our ELC models have wheels, which means that the lifter’s position can be adjusted while fitting or assembling equipment such as air-conditioning units or awnings, or structural elements like beams.

GUIL’s ELC lifters can lift weights of over 200 kg to heights of more than 5 metres, and can be equipped with a number of adaptors for specific tasks and loads.

For installations with larger, heavier elements, our TORO lifters provide greater possibilities, with a maximum load of over 400 kg and a maximum height of 8 metres.  The TORO are front-loading, with the forks only 30cm from the ground at their lowest, making it easy to load even heavy items onto them for lifting. 

The side struts offer great stability, and the wheels allow the load to be positioned once it has been raised, for connection and fastening.  Adaptors for the TORO models include fork extensions, boom arms and even lighting attachments to fasten floodlights to illuminate workplaces.  The ACT-09 Fork widener allows even the longest awning, pipe or beam to be lifted with perfect stability, with its fork width of up to 140 cm.
