Installing a bioclimatic pergola using GUIL’s front-loading TORO lifters

Installing a bioclimatic pergola using GUIL’s front-loading TORO lifters
MAY 9, 2022

The demand for bioclimatic pergolas seems to grow every year, and who can wonder?  They allow the user to enjoy the best of the weather all year, with the possibility to vary the amount of sunshine that enters through the roof or windows.

Perfil Solsona, of Solsona in Spain, manufacture and install a variety of items in metal and PVC, such as balcony enclosures, doors, windows, blinds and awnings – and, of course, bioclimatic pergolas.  They use a TORO A-range lifter to raise the beams – which can be 5 or more metres long – to the correct height and hold them in position while they fix them in place.

GUIL’s TORO A-range lifters have a maximum lifting height of over 4 metres and a maximum load capacity of 170kg, and are light and manoeuvrable to allow each beam to be precisely positioned for assembly.  They are easy to set up, load and operate, and can easily fit in a van with their stowed height of 175cm.

Due to their ground-level front-loading system, with the forks only 30cm off the ground, the load can be placed on the forks with minimal effort, and raised to the necessary height in only a minute or two.  This makes assembly quicker and easier, and requires less time than with more traditional methods.

Perfil Solsona have carried out many projects, but the most spectacular are surely their pergolas.  With various colours and finishes available, and each pergola designed and made to measure for the customer, we hope that Perfil Solsona will continue to use their TORO A-range lifter for many years into the future.
