Two awnings of 4 metres each for the balconies of a house in Malaga, in Spain, with views over the Mediterranean Sea, installed by our customer Dkora Outer Space, using ELC-730/R lifters from GUIL. 

Two large balconies, one looking East and the other South, both now covered (though only partially in the case of the larger one!!) with large awnings.  The owners can watch the sun come up from one balcony, and enjoy a siesta after lunch on the other one, avoiding the direct midday sunlight under their magnificent MARKILUX awnings.

Our ELC-730/R can lift 125 kg to a maximum height of 4.5 m, and can be moved – carefully! – to position the load for fastening thanks to the wheels on the legs.  Using the ELC-730/R, the installers lifted the awnings straight up to the balcony level, instead of having to try to take 4-metre-long boxes up the stairs to the first floor. 

The lifter then held each awning in place while the wall was marked and prepared, and finally moved it next to the wall to be fixed in place.  As well as awnings, the ELC-730/R can lift pergolas, ventilation ducts, roller-shutters, air-conditioning units and many other items, depending on the adaptor used.

The ELC-730/R has built-in wheels with brakes on all its legs for perfect positioning. The new model’s wheels have levellers which can be adjusted for height, in order to stabilise the lifter even on irregular surfaces. 

In addition, the base is equipped with two larger wheels, which allow the lifter to be moved from one place to another as if it were a wheelbarrow, much more comfortably and easily than carrying it.
